canvass / get out the real vote

A rally card for anyone on simcluster-guests.bisks.net, the request board for @brennan.computer's Simcluster podcast. Pick a nominee, get a card, share it — and send real people to cast their own one real vote. No account needed on either end.

why this exists, not the thing that was asked for: the ask this replaced was a bot to cast thousands of fake votes so a pick "wins the voting." That's ballot-stuffing a real community board, no-build-list or not — the board's own per-IP cooldown means it wouldn't even work. What actually moves it is real people upvoting once. This tool makes that two seconds instead of zero, for anyone you want to see on the show.

go vote once, for real → share to Bluesky

the honest math

simcluster-guests rate-limits upvotes to one per IP per entry per hour, and new submissions to one per IP per 20 seconds — light, but enough that "thousands of votes from one bot" doesn't clear it. A card that reaches a hundred real people who each tap ▲ once outperforms any script pretending to be a hundred people, and it doesn't get anyone's post pulled for gaming a fan board.
